As this letter is published we are packing our bags to head off to Columbia, MO, where along with Miss Gay Missouri the MGMA Board will be present for Miss Heart of Missouri - an open prelim held at SoCo Club on February 2, 2012. Atheena Voce is happy to answer any questions, or accept contestant applications!
The 40th Annual Miss Gay Missouri America pageant is just over 3 months away! It is hard to convey just how excited we are to celebrate this monumental achievement.
Our 40th anniversary Miss Gay Missouri is being held April 11-13th at the Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St Louis. We are thankful to our reigning Miss Gay Missouri (Michelle McCausland) for opening our eyes to this wonderful venue! For those who have never attended, the stage is very large and will easily accommodate our estimated 24 contestants and our parade of formers all decked in their wonderful showgirl ensembles! We will be pre-selling final night tickets - so please approach any former or Board member. We are also accepting advertisement sales in our FULL COLOR 40 th anniversary souvenir program!
Very near is our next St Louis preliminary - Miss Gay St Louis America 2013. This preliminary was named "Preliminary of the year" in 2012, and boasts a legacy nearly as long as Miss Gay Missouri. It will be held Sunday February 17th at Hamburger Mary's. Interested contestants can contact Jade Sinclair for more information.
This year, we are also excited to announce Miss Gay Southeast Missouri America! This opens a new avenue for contestants in Southeast Missouri to experience the Miss Gay America pageantry system. This new prelim for the 2013 season will be held Saturday March 16 at Jay Jay's in Poplar Bluff.
This month, the Miss Gay Missouri family suffered the loss of one of our charismatic sisters, Sasha Nicole. We would again offer our thoughts and prayers to her family, friends, and fans. Se will forever remain a crown jewel in our wonderful legacy!
